Developing E-learning platform

Project Name ILO E-learning project

Project Timeline 2024

Dotlines, under SSD-TECH Limited, successfully completed a six-month project in partnership with the International Labour Organization (ILO) to develop an e-learning platform and digital courses for the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE) and NOSHTRI. This initiative took place in Dhaka, Bangladesh, with the goal of modernizing traditional training methods and introducing a sustainable technology-based solution for continuous learning. The core objective of the project was to create a user-friendly and scalable e-learning system capable of hosting self-paced training modules.

This transition enabled DIFE and NOSHTRI to digitize their existing training materials, allowing employees and stakeholders to access learning content remotely and efficiently. To ensure long-term usability, the project team provided hands-on training to staff members, empowering them to manage the platform independently. This training included guidance on updating course content, managing user data, and addressing minor technical issues. Throughout the project, the system was refined and customized based on continuous feedback from stakeholders. The development process involved regular coordination with the ILO team, organizing workshops, and conducting user acceptance testing to ensure the platform met institutional needs. Once implemented, the e-learning platform was fully integrated with existing infrastructures and was accompanied by two years of technical support to maintain its performance and reliability.

As a result of this project, both DIFE and NOSHTRI now have a fully operational and sustainable e-learning system that supports ongoing professional development. Staff members are capable of managing the platform, creating new content, and ensuring its long-term relevance. This marks a significant step toward digital transformation in institutional training and capacity building within the labor inspection and safety sector of Bangladesh
